NELRU Training

  • NELRU has received Accreditation at Level 4 from the Education, Training and Development Practices – Sector Education and Training Authority (ETDP.SETA).
  • Courses are recognized as being of a very high standard and are therefore widely sought after.
  • Highly qualified and experienced facilitators conduct hands-on training.
  • Courses are designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and competence of the educare teacher.
  • Through training, crèches are transformed from ‘baby-sitting facilities’ to proper educare centres.
  • The major emphasis is on experiential learning, and this empowers trainees to cope with a multiplicity of situations.

NELRU Holistic Approach

  • Materials and skills developed at NELRU are able to be adapted to suit the particular circumstances of each educare facility, irrespective of how remote, basic or poor the community might be.
  • Curricula, training methods and materials are constantly re-evaluated to meet changing situations and circumstances.
  • NELRU concentrates on working in under-privileged communities where the need is the greatest.
